I am sitting at my Deux Gros Nez table in my apt. enjoying my cooking experiment of both indian and thai leftover combo with a bit of extra stuff (could use a bit of an extra kick, but as of now I can't be bothered). ...and I just finished reading the insane weather trend in Europe, specifically Netherlands and Berlin where I have 3 friends, wondering how they are fairing.
CNN dot com said a bunch of people got knocked over on their bikes in Amsterdam, and trains are at a standstill.
I should really make an effort to call overseas friends, if only I kept numbers handy, but now it's like what? 4 am in Europe.
My friend Ronit in Tiberias, Israel is having a baby, I need to call her. It's been 6 years since we saw each other in amsterdam and then tel aviv. Not to be cliche, but, sometimes it's not such a bad thing to lose frequent contact with certain people, maybe we need to arrive at a point in our lives where we are more available for one reason or others. That's where I feel like I'm at. I'm ready to bridge the gaps....
Behind me in line at Raley's today was a woman speaking German on her cellphone. I had to evesdrop for a bit, because at first I thought it was dutch. Alas....Still nice to listen to though....
Bowling, haven't done it since my Birthday, possibly this weekend?
Thrift stores rock!!!! My sister rocks!!! My messy apt is killer!!! I heart the killers.
Why can't certain guys just want to be friends? Gramatically incorrect sentence I know.
Hmmm.........
I am very content in Reno for a great deal of reasons, but I don't like that certain things are copied from other cities. Alice is radio station in SF, The X radio station is exactly like KFOG in SF, The Green Room is already present in many cities. Why do certain things have to be labeled as SF style (ie, hair salons), or Hollywood style (some New Years party thing), etc, etc.
